You can help in two ways: 1. If you wish to volunteer some of your time to SFI's cause, please contact us. There is a lot of work to do! - Spreading the word about this new effort to empower families through the vote of all their members, regardless of age
- Researching requirements for filing a Ballot Initiative in your State (number of signatures required; proper language; do you know any attorneys that could participate in this endeavour?)
- Helping to organize families in your neighborhood, county, State –eventually forming a network of Associations of the Families.
- Compiling statistical data on the number of families with children in your state, their voting status, etc.
- Contacting a legislator that might be willing to explore this issue, and eventually introduce a bill or constitutional amendment (The Proposition) recognizing the right to vote for all US citizens regardless of age.
2. Your donations will contribute to SFI's efforts on behalf of all families in America and, eventually, all over the world. Does $10 per household (one-time, yearly or monthly) seem like too much? This would help finance SFI's promotion and advocacy efforts, so we can help families get organized at local, State, and National levels, pooling know-how and resources to file ballot initiatives and to encourage our legislators to enact The Proposition.
Due to the nature of SFI's advocacy, contributions made to Strong Families Inc. are not tax exempt. Any donation larger than $200 may be directed to the Michael Kenwood Foundation, which carries out educational efforts that complement SFI's purpose, as part of its Democracy in America program. Donations to the Michael Kenwood Foundation, a 501 c(3) organization, are exempt from taxes. Donations to SFI may be made in the form of checks or money orders payable to Strong Families Inc., 350 Bedford Street, Suite 405, Stamford, CT 06901 You may also make a wire transfer to: Acct. #1255158402, Strong Families Inc., ABA#2211-7261-0, Citibank, 15 Broad Street, Stamford, CT 06901 |
